Free Online Video Editing

Introduction

If you're looking for a free online video editing service, chances are you're either in a hurry or on a strict budget. These video editing sites won't have the same abilities as Adobe’s Premiere Pro or Apple’s Final Cut Pro. They should at least give you many basic tools to complete your project and share it with friends, family. The world!

Motionbox

Motionbox is a comprehensive video editing solution. They've both a basic and a paid “PRO” version for $24.99 a month which gives more advanced editing features (more themes, fonts, effects), unlimited uploads, hd playback and embedding, 25GB of video storage, 25GB of streaming bandwidth. Ad-free videos. The site supports avi, mov, dv, mpeg, mp4, wmv, asf, vob, flv, mts, m2t, m4v. Qt video files. Basic video editing is available with tools like transitions, cropping, adding music, text, drag and drop editing. Trimming. How to Use Instagram in Your Marketing
by Jeff Newton Who could’ve thought that Instagram would have become the web authority it is now in such a small amount of time? With over 100 Million users, and having been recently acquired by Facebook, things are indeed rocking at this widely used photo sharing site. What’s catching notice lately though is the revolutionary ways people are using Instagram, and nowhere is that more evident than in, of all places, Kuwait. The Award for Ingenuity goes to Kuwait! According to Kottke.org, Kuwaitis have taken to using Instagram as a visually oriented mobile store, selling just about anything they want. A few of...

More Advanced Editing and Conclusion

A few years ago, there were a handful of online-video editing websites. Unfortunately, hosting videos and supporting a video-editing site is expensive and they're now gone. Even Photobucket’s video remix web app which was powered by Adobe’s Premiere Express which was launched in 2007 is now unavailable as well.

There is no perfect online video editing solution and since there was only one solution, Motionbox is worth a try if you find yourself needing to edit a video on the fly. If you want a safer way to share your videos than YouTube, it'll work well since they allow 25GB of storage on their pro account.

If you're looking to spend some money for more features than Motionbox. Don't want to break the bank, Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9, Pinnacle Studio HD. Corel’s VideoStudio Pro X3 are good alternatives, all of which are in the $50-$100 range. They'll probably give you more features and buttons than you know what to do with which is a good thing as the limiting factor will be yourself and not the software. Personally, I've used Sony Vegas Movie Studio and found that it met my needs exceptionally well. There was nothing that it couldn't do that I'd imagined for my video.

Your best bet for free video editing however, if on a PC or Mac, is to use the latest versions of Windows Movie Maker or Apple’s iMovie since you already have it on your computer and it's free. These will definitely be more powerful than any online-video editor and give you the greatest flexibility to unleash your creative potential.
