AirPatrol Corporation Delivers Location-Based Mobile Device Security for Good Technology Customers

MAPLE LAWN, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Location-based mobile device security developer AirPatrol Corporation, a

wholly-owned subsidiary of Sysorex Global Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:SYRX),

today announced it's joined Good Technology™’s partner ecosystem to

provide organisations with the ability to automatically change security

policies on mobile devices based on contextual inputs such as the

device’s location and owner. AirPatrol’s ZoneDefense for Good allows

systems administrators to create “hot zones” that can change the

features, apps and content available on a Good-enabled device when it

enters that zone. Hot zones can be as large as an entire building or as

small as an office cubicle.

“This collaboration, coupling AirPatrol’s capabilities with Good’s

industry-leading security framework, marks the beginning of a new era in

device security,” said AirPatrol CEO Cleve Adams. “With ZoneDefense for

Good, organisations can move away from the ‘one device, one policy’

model in favour of a ‘the right policy at the right place’ paradigm.”

The ability to automatically change device policies based on zone is

particularly useful for organisations with R&D labs, boardrooms and

sensitive areas with higher levels of security. As a mobile device

enters one of these zones a new security policy can be triggered that

prevents unauthorised activities such as file transfers, use of a camera

or recording device. Accessing certain apps. Once the device exits

the zone the more stringent security policy is replaced with the

standard one and mobile device activities return to normal.

“Our customers are continually looking for ways to insure their

highly-sensitive data is protected,” said Matt Sturges, vice president

Foursquare Looks to Monetize the Platform with GEO- Targeted Ads
by Jeff Newton Mashable is confirming that location based social networking company Foursquare is currently testing a new advertising platform aimed at small business, by letting large advertisers like Burger King, Gap and Starwood Hotels to test promote themselves with the platform. These listings show up in Foursquare when a customer gets close to a business’ physical location. Small businesses already had the capability to offer discounts when a user checked in to a location, but now Foursquare is providing them with a way to attract geographically close customers by showing an image ad and/or review by a previous Foursquare user. What’s...

of the Good Dynamics ecosystem at Good Technology. “ZoneDefense for Good

offers another line of defence for organisations seeking more advanced

mobile security and device detection capabilities.”

Beyond the ability to automatically manage device security based on

location, ZoneDefense for Good also gives systems and security personnel

a more complete view of the mobile devices operating within the

organisation. Capable of detecting and locating any cellular or Wifi

devices, whether managed by Good or not, ZoneDefense offers

administrators the ability to identify, monitor and report on rogue

devices that'd otherwise operate “under the radar.”

“Most people are surprised to learn just how many mobile devices are

roaming freely about their organisation doing who-knows-what,” Adams

continued. “With ZoneDefense for Good, companies will have a handle on

all of them, both known and unknown.”

ZoneDefense for Good will be available in the second quarter of 2014.
